Hi, my name is Harish Kohli
How far we go to pursue our passion
An extraordinary journey
Learnt the art of mountaineering on an expedition to Mt Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world. But my passion for nature was fired on an expedition to the Nanda Devi Sanctuary, led by Professor Thomas Mutch of Brown University, USA and a member of NASA's mission to Mars.
Ski-Himalaya Expedition, became the first ever ski traverse at high-altitude, covering 2,000 km in temperatures plummeting to minus 48 degrees Celsius. It became one of the most momentous journeys in mountaineering history and subject of my book 'Across the Frozen Himalaya'.
Leading expeditions of young people to Asia, Africa and Central America (including Mt Kilimanjaro) was most satisfying. Also worked as an expedition adviser and supervised the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme at Dulwich College, London.
